Monoprice 110010 Headphones Review

Monoprice is a company that makes affordable products. They have many different kinds of headphones, but we will focus on their 110010 models. This is their cheapest model, with some excellent features that make it stand out. We have been using these headphones for several weeks, so we are comfortable saying they are a good deal if you’re looking for something without breaking the bank. Please continue reading below if you want more information about this product or any other Monoprice headphones!

Monoprice 110010 Headphones

The Monoprice 110010 headphones are a great choice if you want to stay away from the bulkier headphones but still want something that will fit in your pocket or bag. They’re made of plastic and come with an adjustable headband and earpads.

The sound quality is suitable for your price but could be more exceptional. These might be better options than these if you’re looking for more than average audio quality. The bass response could be better than other sets I’ve tested (such as the Zound5). However, I could hear all of my favorite pop songs clearly through these cans—even though they weren’t very loud!

Design

The design is simple but could be more precise. It’s not over the top, and it has no flashy features that can distract from the music being played through them.

The headphones are made of plastic with a metal band holding them together at the back. The headband has padding on top and underneath to ensure your ears don’t get sore after wearing them for long periods (like when you’re listening to music).

Sound Quality

The sound quality is good, but it could be better. The bass is strong and complete, but it’s less potent than we’d like to hear from a pair of headphones at this price point. We do like the fact that these headphones have an open design so you can listen to more of what’s going on in your environment around you—but this also means that there’s going to be some noise leakage if you don’t have them sealed up tight against your ears (and if you do seal them up tight against your ears, then there’s still some bleed-through into the sound).

The mids are solid when listening to music or watching movies; vocals come through clearly without distortion or clipping issues at high volumes (though they get slightly muddy at lower volumes). The highs aren’t particularly crisp or clear, though—they’re just fine for casual listening but won’t wow anyone who cares about those things.

Comfort and Fit

The headphones are lightweight, making them comfortable to wear. They don’t feel like they will fall off your head or slip down your neck. The headband is padded, and the ear cups are wrapped in memory foam that keeps them in place without feeling too tight or restricting you from moving freely.

The ear pads themselves have a lovely soft texture which helps absorb sound vibrations so you can listen comfortably for more extended periods without fatigue setting in after a few hours at work or school, but what I love about these headphones is how easy it is for me – as someone who suffers from chronic pain issues – to wear them for long periods without any discomfort whatsoever!

Value for Money

At $15, the Monoprice 110010 is a great value for money. While it doesn’t offer the same sound quality as higher-end headphones, they’re still perfect and will provide hours of enjoyment without needing to be replaced.

The build quality is excellent; these headphones feel sturdy and well-made, with no signs of wear after using them for over a year. The ear pads are also comfortable enough that I don’t feel like I need to wear my glasses while listening to music with them on (I usually do). And although they aren’t quite as comfortable as some other models we’ve reviewed here at Gizmodo (the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x), they’re still better than most other options out there in their price range by far!

Durability

The Monoprice 110010 headphones are made of plastic, which could be better. While they may be lightweight and portable, they’re less durable than other options in their price range. The earpads aren’t exceptionally comfortable either; they’re not soft or plush but rather stiffer than average, which makes them hurt after prolonged use.

The headband also isn’t very comfortable either: it’s made from a hard plastic material that has no give to it (and looks cheap). This makes wearing these headphones for extended periods painful—even if you don’t have large heads (like me), I winced every time I put them on my head because there wasn’t much padding around my ears or forehead area!

Pros and Cons of Monoprice 110010 Headphones

The Monoprice 110010 headphones have a lot going for them. They’re comfortable and sound great, but some issues keep them from being perfect.

Pros:

  • Good sound quality – These headphones have an open-back design with significant 40mm drivers that produce many basses while maintaining clarity throughout the range of frequencies. The mids were a bit muddy, though (more on this later), but overall they were very good at reproducing music without adding any unwanted distortion or coloration.
  • Good battery life – You can expect about 10 hours of playtime from each charge if you don’t use any noise cancellation features or turn up your volume too high; however, if you do use these features heavily, then expect less than seven hours per charge—which is still better than average compared to other similar products out there today!

Conclusion

Overall, the Monoprice 110010 headphones are a good choice for anyone looking to spend a little less on their next pair of cans. Although they’re not perfect, there’s a lot to like about these headphones, and they’re well worth your consideration if you need something that meets all of your needs without breaking the bank.
